Emma served as a Legal Assistant at Silhol Law between 2018 and 2020, prior to her return to the firm as an attorney. While in law school, Emma spearheaded an initiative to establish and streamline the UNT Dallas College of Law’s Community Lawyering Center’s processes for certain family law cases in Dallas County. Through this courtroom advocacy, Emma honed essential advocacy and client management skills.
Emma was also an active officer of the College of Law’s Board of Advocates, co-chairing the Fall 2022 Thompson Coburn Moot Court Competition, after winning runner-up in her first-year, cohort-wide oral advocacy competition.
Prior to attending law school, Emma served as a Career Peer Advisor at Austin College, counseling undergraduate students through resume preparation and career development programming. She has interned with various organizations, including the Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services, Texas’s largest non-profit immigration organization, the Dallas Independent School District’s Office of Legal Services, and the Equal Justice Center.
She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Young Women’s Preparatory Network, a Dallas-based nonprofit that supports public all-girls schools throughout Texas.
